Jeffrey Kurland's "The Hours" are a series of 24 abstract paintings that are each meant to suggest the light and color of a particular hour of the day. Each painting (36x48”) is unique with a gestural swirl of color on a solid color ground of acrylic paint. It is a decorative series in which paintings can be displayed singly or in combinations that complement an interior. Paintings from “The Hours” 2019-2020 are for sale individually.
Jeffrey Kurland lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Making art in New York City since 1976, he paints on canvas and paper, all sizes, mostly abstract. Kurland’s art practice includes painting, watercolors, drawing, collage, and mono prints.
